Sources and methods of formation of the terminological system of computer science in English, Polish and Ukrainian are examined in the article.

Sources and ways of computer terminology formation in English, Polish and Ukrainian are described. The author examines productive ways of term formation in terminological systems of these languages and analyses peculiarities of their use in each of the languages. On the material of English, Polish and Ukrainian computer vocabulary the author shows the prevalence of a certain way of term formation compared to others in each language: morphological abbreviation in English, morphological derivation in Ukrainian and term formation using native stems and English borrowings in Polish.
