Mykola Zubkov born in 1949.

1974–1980 studied at philological department of Kharkiv State University on speciality Ukrainian language and literature.

1996–1999 – work at philological department of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

1999–2014 – lecturer at chair of Ukrainoznavstvu at philosophy department of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

Since September 2014 – TC STTS junior researcher.

Author of a number of handbooks, textbooks and dictionaries (more than 50 names). In 2009 was honored by title Honorable Educator of Ukraine.

Scientific interests: lexicography, terminology, problems and history of Ukrainian orthography, Shevchenko studies.
